11.08.17Dear Medical Students and House Officers,
On Wednesday, November 8 at 6:00pm, the Medical Arts Program will be taking a tour of the GalleryDAAS exhibition Legacy: Art Across Generations with the artist, Chrislan Fuller Manuel. Dinner to follow. Manuel was inspired by the genius of her great-grandmother, Meta Vaux Warrick Fuller, a noted sculptor who was the first African-American woman to receive a government art commission. Fuller's work is on display along with Manuel's. This is Manuel's first exhibition. She will discuss her approach to art creation, the inspiration she derives from her great-grandmother, along with the positive effects painting can have on her own mood. Event Details Wednesday, November 8 6:00-9:00pm Tour Location: GalleryDAAS Dinner Location: Sava's The tour will begin promptly at 6:00pm (led by Manuel) and will conclude at around 7:15pm.
