Ping Chong + Company's Beyond Sacred: Voices of Muslim Identity

2.18.2017

On Saturday, February 18 at 6:00PM, the Medical Arts Program and the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion will join together to attend a performance of Ping Chong + Company's Beyond Sacred: Voices of Muslim Identity. This interview-based theater production explores the diverse experiences of young Muslim New Yorkers in an attempt to work towards greater communication and understanding between Muslim and non-Muslim communities, a topic of enormous importance.

We will begin in the Michigan Room, located on the 2nd floor of the Michigan League (911 N. University Ave) at 6:00PM, where we will have the opportunity to discuss the event with one of the writers, Sara Zatz, associate director of Ping Chong + Company, followed by dinner and more discussion.

We will then walk over to the Power Center to watch the performance of Beyond Sacred: Voices of Muslim Identity.

More information about the performance is available here.
